News: 2014 Bowmore Laimrig released

The 2014 release of the limited edition of Bowmore Laimrig has been announced and the whisky will be available exclusively from The Whisky Shop at £70 a pop. Could be a nice expression to tick the 'Bowmore' box on my adventure.

The 15yo malt is a non-chill filtered cask strength (53.7%) offering that has been finished in Spanish sherry butts.If you're interested in trivia and marketing spiel, Laimrig means 'pier' in Scottish Gaelic and, says the press release, "celebrates Bowmore’s ancient stone pier where the distillery’s barley would once have been unloaded and where the renowned single malt would have first set sail for the four corners of the world."
I'm sure the whisky will be better than the sales pitch.
